From three-seaters that hold a single person properly to deep sectionals that hold a family of five, Glintora sofas are built around the dimensions of your room, the height of your floor, and the way you actually use a sofa on a Sunday afternoon.
What we build
Five frame styles, infinite covers.
- Low Italian — shallow seat, slim arm, generous back cushion; under 80cm tall.
- Deep family — 110cm depth, supportive seat foam, removable back covers.
- Tight back — single-piece upholstered back panel, no loose cushions; tidy.
- Modular sectional — corner, return and ottoman units that bolt together to whatever footprint you need.
- Chaise & daybed — armless single chaise pieces, paired or standalone, with optional bolster.
Every frame is solid kiln-dried hardwood — usually meranti with teak or oak visible faces — joined with mortise-and-tenon and corner-blocked. Springs are eight-way hand-tied where the seat is loose; sinuous spring where the seat is fixed.

Eight-way hand-tied springs
Where the seat takes loose cushions, the springs are tied by hand in eight directions — the slowest part of the build, and the part that wears longest.
Triple-layer cushion fill
High-density foam core, polyester-fibre wrap, hair-and-cotton crown — soft to sit on, firm to support, comfortable for years.
Removable, replaceable
Loose covers are zipped and washable. Fixed covers can be re-upholstered in our workshop without disturbing the frame.
Choosing fabric
What lasts well, in Malaysia.
Velvet
Cotton-poly blends rated 30,000+ Martindale wear cycles. The aubergine velvet on our show pieces is from a Belgian mill we have used for six years.
Linen blends
Belgian linen with a small polyester element for stability. Beautiful with age, forgiving of light. Recommend hidden-zip removable covers.
Performance bouclé
For households with children or pets — looks like wool, behaves like a hospitality textile. We stock six colours in this family.
Full-grain leather
Pavia-tanned hides, oiled and finished, in thirty-six standard tones. Develops a patina; tolerates Malaysian humidity better than corrected-grain.
Customer's own material
Bring us your bolt of fabric. We test a sample on a board for handling, then build to your specification — about a third of our sofa commissions are COM.
Outdoor textiles
For lanai and verandah pieces, we work with Sunbrella and a Singaporean mill that produces a UV-stable outdoor velvet — yes, it exists.

Two-seat sofa, linen
From RM 9,800 — solid frame, hand-tied springs, mid-range Belgian linen, brushed brass legs.
Three-seat sectional, velvet
From RM 16,500 — corner unit plus return, velvet from our standard book, brushed walnut legs.
Custom leather chaise
From RM 22,000 — full-grain Italian leather, hand-stitched seams, brass castors, single chaise profile.
Lead time
Six to ten weeks from deposit, including site measurement, drawing approval and white-glove delivery within Klang Valley.
