Bed Frames
A bed you can sit on the edge of for the next thirty years.
A bed frame is one of the few pieces of furniture you live with overnight, every night. We make ours in solid hardwood, with joinery that does not creak and a finish that will outlast its first room.
Three families
Platform, four-poster, upholstered.
- Platform — low-line solid timber bed with built-in slats; works with most mattresses, no box spring required.
- Four-poster — turned or square uprights with optional canopy rail; presence in larger rooms, suited to suites.
- Upholstered headboard — wall-mounted or bed-attached headboards in fabric, leather or a quilted profile.
All three families are available in single, super-single, queen, king and bespoke sizing. The base may be solid sides with slats, or a webbed deck — the upholsterer decides based on your mattress.

Built so it does not creak.
Mortise-and-tenon joinery
Bed rails join to legs with through-tenons, pulled tight by bed bolts. Slats sit on solid timber cleats, not floating brackets.
Slat-and-cleat deck
Solid timber slats on cleated rails. Air circulates, mattresses last longer, and the bed will not creak when you sit on the corner.
Adjustable headboard height
Optional — headboards can be re-bolted to give different heights as you change mattresses. We pre-drill for the common positions.

Under-bed storage
Built-in drawers on roller runners along the sides of the frame — usually two pairs, taking blankets, suitcases or off-season linen.
Bespoke mattress sizing
If you have imported a non-standard mattress, we will build to it. We have made a 220 × 200 bed in particular.
Mosquito-net hooks
Solid brass net hooks integrated into the upper rails of four-poster frames — discreet when not in use, robust enough to take a heavy net.
Side-table integration
Bedside surfaces designed to attach directly to the bed frame — useful in rooms where a freestanding nightstand would not fit cleanly.
Headboard reading light
Wall-mounted headboards can be pre-routed for a recessed LED reading strip on the back edge, switched at the headboard side.
Cabin & staircase access
Where a bed must be lifted up a narrow stairwell, we build in service joints so the frame breaks down into two pieces for transit.

Lead time
Eight to ten weeks from deposit; install with our own delivery team includes mattress placement and a final level check.
